The workshop explores how photographers capture the Milky Way, planets, the Moon, and deep-sky objects from Irish skies, while explaining the challenges of light pollution, weather, and darkness at our latitude. Participants will gain a clear understanding of camera settings, lenses, mounts, and planning tools, as well as simple processing techniques used to bring out detail in astronomical images.
No specialist equipment is required to attend — the focus is on understanding techniques, building confidence, and learning how to get started.
