Cian Ryan is a photographer based in Cobh / Cork, Ireland who has taken some notable astrophotography images of the night sky. https://www.facebook.com/cian.ryan1

He’s shared astro images from the Copper Coast (Co. Waterford) and other Irish night-sky scenes, including using H-alpha (Ha) data in edits — showing interest and skill in deep-sky capture/editing.  One of his astrophotographs, titled “Earth Calling,” captures the Elfordstown Earthstation near Midleton and night sky features and was featured in articles about astrophotography in Cork.

Cian has given a talk on astrophotography as part of an event called “Out of the Darkness” at Cobh Library before during Irish Astronomy Week, this will be an updated presentation aimed at encouraging interest in exploring the night sky.
